It has been a long time since anyone posted here.

For anyone searching for info about getting into law school, I'll make it very simple. Do well on the LSAT. Do very well.

The internships and the clubs help you understand what it means to become a lawyer and they may help you on the other side of law school, but getting in comes down to the LSAT score.

Just for kicks, how many people in this group actually went on to law school?

I'm moving out of my apartment and need to sublet!!

The lease is for 9 months from August 1, 2006 to May 1, 2007.

The apartment is a furnished 4/4 and my lease is for 1 Br/1 Bath of the apartment.

The complex is gated, has a security guard, full gym, resort-style pool, and tennis courts.

It is also on the UT shuttle and other bus routes and is only a 10-min drive to campus and 5-min drive to downtown Austin.

Located near grocery stores, fast food and other restaurants. (HEB literally on the street corner)

The complex is pretty quiet, it's ALL students and really conveniently located.

Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

For more info. please call Campus Estates at 512-919-8600 or 832 692 8031

ps- my 2 roommates are both girls and would prefer a girl. both are ut students, hard-working, laid back and really sweet, we've known each other since h/s

Hello Fellow Austinites!

I hope life is treating you all well, and you are not
getting to swamped in your endevours.

I am writing to you on behalf Of An Organization At UT called StandOut. Some of you
may know something about it, but for those of you who don't, Here's a brief

"StandOut is a Student Organization at the University of Texas that has
committed itself to promoting awareness of issues that face the queer
community. It is hoped that by raising awareness of these issues, the
inequities will be acknowledged and corrected. We intend to raise awareness
through visibility events, POSITIVE ACTIVISM, and various media."

I am currently the Vice-Director In charge of Publicity and Public Relations,
and I wanted to let you all know that StandOut Is going to San Antonio This
Saturday to participate in an AIDS walk, to raise money and awareness for AIDS

I am Inviting you all to come and Walk with us, Email me if you are interested.
We could always use more support!

But if long drive and a long walk in San Antonio Don't fit into your weekend
schedule, No worries! You can still help us out! Right Now, Our team must
raise the Entry fee for the walk, as well as any other Donations that we can to
give to this foundation. Thus, Any Contribution you can make to our cause would
be greatly appreciated. The team entry fee is only $50.00, and we would love to
donate even more.

I apologize for the late Notice, but this information just passed my desk

If you need Anymore Info about the walk, or how to donate, Shoot me an email.

Best wishes and best of luck to you all in your endevours, and I Can't wait to
hear from you!

Longhorn Love,

Lindsay Williams
Vice-Director, Publicity

PS Forgive me if this is crossposted. But i have little time to raise money, so I am trying to spread the word as best as possible.

Phi Alpha Delta
I think, overall, that it is a great organization with friendly members. Everyone seemed very professional, yet they all came off very inviting.

Did anyone visit with Devil's Advocates, BAR or TDA? I'd love to hear a comparison.

A New Pre-law Organization
I don't know anything about them, but I saw a sign advertising for the Texas Elites Pre-law organization today in Burdine. I figured I'd pass along their URL so people can check them out:

Phi Alpha Delta
Alright, I've already done this once or twice in threads on UT_Austin community, but now that we have a pre-law community (thanks LavenderGoddess), I suppose I ought to do it again.

My name is William Rothwell, and I am vice-president of the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. If anyone reading is interested in pre-law, I'd invite all of you to come check us out. Our last prospective member info session of the semester is this Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:00 in PHR 2.110.

Our two official PAD goals are to a) help you decide whether or not you want to go to law school and b) if you decide to go, help you prepare for admissions and your first year. Our unnofficial goal is to have a good time.

Anyway, I'll end my spiel here, but if anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

It is not university specific but has a lot more members to help with general pre-law questions.

Hello all and welcome to the UTexas pre-law community. It occurred to me maybe two nights ago that if I was serious about pursuing a law degree I would need a lot of support and information. I have a feeling that many students of UT and people around Austin have been considering law themselves and are as lost as I am

Feel free to Post Questions, Updates, Tips....anything about moving from undergrad into law school...
